🔒 Privacy-First Architecture
Drivelogue maintains transparent data practices. We collect minimal analytics data to improve user experience while ensuring all HOS calculations execute locally on your device. Your personal information and compliance data remain private.

Information collected via Google Analytics includes:
- IP address (anonymized)
- Device type and browser information
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- Referral source (how you arrived at Drivelogue)

3. Google Search Console
Drivelogue uses Google Search Console to monitor website performance in Google Search results. This tool provides:
- Search query data (what terms users search to find Drivelogue)
- Click-through rates and impressions
- Indexing status and crawl errors
- Mobile usability reports
This data remains aggregated and anonymized. We cannot identify individual users through Search Console.
4. Local Calculations & Data Storage
All HOS compliance calculations execute locally on your device:
- No calculation data transmits to any server
- Calculation history stores only in your browser's localStorage
- History auto-deletes after 7 days
- Users can manually clear history anytime via the "Clear" button
- Service Worker caches only app files (HTML, CSS, JS, icons) for offline functionality
5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
Drivelogue uses the following cookies:
- Google Analytics Cookies (_ga, _gid, _gat) - For anonymized usage analytics
- PWA Cache - Service Worker caches app files for offline functionality
- localStorage - Stores calculation history locally (user-controllable)
How to manage cookies: Users can disable cookies through browser settings. However, disabling cookies may limit some functionality including analytics and offline capabilities.
6. Third-Party Links Disclosure
The application includes affiliate links to Amazon products (e.g., truck mattresses, seat cushions). When users click these links:
- Users leave Drivelogue and navigate to Amazon.com
- Amazon may set cookies and track activity on their platform
- Drivelogue may earn a commission at no additional cost to users
- Affiliate revenue supports ongoing Drivelogue development
Drivelogue does not control Amazon's privacy practices. Users should review Amazon's privacy policy separately.
7. Data Security
Drivelogue implements appropriate security measures:
- HTTPS encryption for all website communications
- No server-side storage of user data
- Local calculations prevent data interception
- Regular security updates to app dependencies
8. Children's Privacy
Drivelogue targets professional commercial motor vehicle operators and is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions).
Since we collect minimal analytics data, we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete such information.
